What are “Land Trust Properties?”
The Land Trusts Photo Contest is excited to have a new category for competition: land trust properties! This new category celebrates the open space preserves and parks in each of our towns. Land trust properties photos can be of plants, wildlife, scenic landscapes, waterscapes or anything else you might find on your visit to any of the open space properties listed below by the East Haddam, Essex, Lyme, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook or Salem Land Trusts.
Where are “Land Trust Properties?”
Each land trust website has information about the open space preserves and parks in their respective towns. Although most of the properties listed by the land trusts are owned and/or maintained by the land trusts, the lists also include some properties that are owned by others such as a town or The Nature Conservancy. If you have any questions about whether your photo entry qualifies as a “land trust properties” photo, please contact us at info@landtrustsphotocontest.org.
